Beware!!
It's almost winter and I wanted to warn you about this new scam which
started last year.
If you have snow on a driveway or walkway it
can happen to you.
These two predators will come to your door
with smiles promising to do a great shoveling job.
They may
even try to suck you in to doing other things.
They appeared on
my doorstep last year but fortunately I had been warned by neighbors
and did not fall prey.
They claimed to have a permit but
didn't even have it available to show me. Likely story.
They whined about the cold weather and even had the nerve to ask me if
they could come in and warm themselves.
Probably just to
case out my home for valuables.
I ran them off and told them I
would save the twenty dollars they were asking and shovel it myself.
I was told they want the money up front and barely shovel a path.
Then they take your money and run.
Fortunately, I was able to
snap a picture of them and am sending it out to you.
Don't be sucked in by them.
